The 24/7 Cebu House of Prayer (CHOP) has opened a place for anyone to come and pray, worship, intercede or soak in His presence (with live screen feed from the 24/7 IHOP Kansas prayer room) or soaking on beautiful soaking music. It is going Mon-Fri 8-12 am and 6-12 pm.

We are quite an international team with people from Ireland, Usa, Switserland, Philippines, Canada, Netherlands and Korea...

We will also be doing overnight prayers. We are praying for at least 50 full time worshippers, intercessors and prayer warriors, who will stand in the gap for this city. Calling all watchmen to the Philippines :)

We sing our prayers, often Harp and Bowl style, and we often pray from the Word of God, the Bible. Soon we will be going 24/7.... Soaking +devotional sessions+ intercession+ worship

The house of prayer started in Brian and Mirte's house 4 years ago, then two years ago was officially opened on Jones Avenue and Shawn Maragni (from IHOP) is the full time leader there.

This page is dedicated to the work of the House of prayer, to recruit workers to pray for this broken city...

Brian and Mirte Longridge are now more focused on working with the poor (they pastor people w leprosy and a church in a heavy crime prison in Cebu, and the homeless, streetkids), though in the beginning they were much more involved. They still teach and occasionally join.

small update:The house of Prayer just finished a 21 day 24 hr 7 days non stop with other churches in this city....

During the 21 day non stop prayer, many churches came together, and depending on what time you walked in, you would see either a room full of people interceding, worshiping or almost everyone weeping... His beautiful Presence sure is present here...

We are looking for part/full time psalmists, musicians, and intercessors with a burning love and passion to see the Philippines saved for the Lord...

Come join us, even if it would be only for a three month set-aside time, to realign yourself to His heart, to seek Him, soak in His presence and to receive revelation from Him for your life...

Cebu is a big island in the middle of the Philippines, and the cost of living here is not very high. It is a big city but when you get outside the city you will be able to see the mountains and some beaches, a lot of very nice village life...

The Philippines consists out of 7000 beautiful islands, so in your free time you can travel around and see places here.

At dumpsite Lapu Lapu where Brian and Mirte used to live. We will help you get set up working here if you have a heart for the dumpsite...

Cebu is the center of the Philippines for drugs, sex and there are a LOT of street children who are crying out for love, and if we don't go and bring His love, or pray regularly for the street children, for hands and feet to help them, they probably will fall into the wrong hands...

We need people in this city who will work with these children, and who will also get them off the street and will care for them.

Join our fight to pray and intercede for these kids that they would be protected from the often sexual abuse, incest and the more goes on,

Pray with us that the conscience of the people in this city would be awakened and stirred up to have compassion on these lonely kids.... According to a UNICEF study the children in the Philippines are the loneliest kids...

Villa de Mercedes is only 7-12 dollars a night, it is Very clean and has big rooms. You can stay here while you are here, it is in the middle of the city, so are we. There is the circle on the night photo between us and there. Taxis are extremely cheap here. A 45 minute ride is about $5. They are quite safe exp within the city. Crime rates according to front page news of the sunstar have gone down for the last two years in Cebu. (Prayer?)

There are also other missionaries you can get to know here. We will also be adding Healing Rooms to the house a few hours a week. The children also minister and encourage them to hear God speak to them, and flow in the prophetic. Ywam is a beautiful ministry here. Come and encounter Him as you set aside time to seek Him here in this place...

Shopping is very good here, you can get anything you will need, see Ayala and SM malls for instance

Brian Longridge is Irish and studied Jazz at Berklee College of Music, his wife, Mirte Longridge (nickname Anisha ) is also a musician.
